Cartier Santos Octagon Automatic Ref. 2966 Two-Tone 29mm Vintage Watch
Offered for sale is a classic Cartier Santos Octagon Automatic Ref. 2966 in stainless steel and 18k yellow gold. This is the desirable midsize 29mm version featuring the iconic octagonal bezel with exposed screws, integrated bracelet, white porcelain dial with Roman numerals, blued steel hands, and date display at 3 o’clock.
The watch is running well and the automatic movement winds properly. The quick-set date function operates correctly. Service history is unknown and the watch has not been recently serviced.
Condition is very good vintage overall with honest wear consistent with age and use. The stainless steel case and bracelet retain strong original proportions with visible surface wear and scratching throughout. The 18k yellow gold bezel shows noticeable wear and patina that gives the watch an excellent vintage character.
The original white porcelain dial presents beautifully and has developed attractive age-related craquelure visible under certain lighting and angles. The subtle spidering in the dial adds warmth and individuality to the watch and complements its vintage aesthetic nicely. Blued steel hands remain vibrant and highly visible.
